Meet the Team: Say hello to Jeroen
Time to shine! Let's meet one of the Fozzies. Say hello to Jeroen, once our Spaceman to the rescue, now our Inhouse Photographer. Well, let's get to know Jeroen a little bit more!
Name: Jeroen Leurs
Company role: Inhouse Photographer
Favorite quote: Een vriend achter het papier
What do you like about working at Fosbury & Sons?
"From my first interview it was clear that F&S was a lovely place to be. The atmosphere and freedom you experience working here is amazing.
I can truly be myself in this organization which I think is a rare thing. A big part of that is the family of Fozzies we have, they make my day, every day."
How would your friends or family describe you in three words?
"Artful, kind and prideful."
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
"I love going out and go explore, whether that's in nature or an urban environment, I love to observe the space with my camera in hand. I'm also an avid runner, I am training each week to improve my physique. To relax after a long day nothing beats a visit to the local bar/café with friends."
If you could be another person for a day, who would you choose?
"I think that would be Sir Edmund Hillary. He was the first man to ever climb Mount Everest, he achieved this goal in 1953 together with his sherpa Tenzing Norgay. I would love to have been there on the day of the ascend, the view, the feeling of being on top of the world, as the first person in the world. Exploration can't get better than that.
I love being in the mountains and hiking, one day I want to see Everest with my own eyes, just to get a glimpse of the beast and wonder what it would be like up there."
To who do you look up to the most in life?
"Not really any specific person, every man who made a milestone can inspire me.
Whether that's something a family member or friend has done, or somebody I don't even know, for example running a marathon in less than 3 hours or even walking on the moon, seeing others improve themselves is the best driver to start improving myself."
